2. How do I create an account?
You can register an account by going to the My Account page and following the registration instructions. The My Account page allows you to view and change your billing and shipping information, as well as view and track your order history.
3. What items can be exempt from sales tax?
Any item can be exempt if it is being bought for resale and you have a valid retail merchant certificate. Many items can be exempt for agricultural use, but only if they are being used in food production. Pressure washers, generators, and lawn mowers (and the engines for them) would never be considered tax-exempt items.
4. If I place an order from another state, will I have to pay sales tax if I pick it up?
Yes. If the sale occurs in Indiana, whether picked up here, or shipped to any address in Indiana, we must charge sales tax which currently is 7%.
5. What is the purpose of the Card ID (also CW2 or CVC2) number?
Those 3 (or 4 for American Express) digits are for a fraud-prevention system used by our credit card processor to verify that the customer actually has the card. Since those numbers do not appear on any statement or receipt, only the cardholder would have access to it. We require the Card ID as well as the billing address to match the numbers on file with your credit card company in order to accept your card as payment.

4. Will you ship Collect on Delivery (C.O.D.)?
No, we will not ship any orders C.O.D.
5. Will the trucking company call before delivering my order?
Sometimes. If the order is being delivered to a residential address, they will call many times to schedule delivery, but they are not obligated to do so. If the delivery is going to a business address, they would almost never call first.
6. Will the trucking company help me unload my order from the truck?
The driver is responsible to get the item to the back of the truck. Period. Many will do much more to help out, but again, they are not obligated to do so.
7. Is that the actual weight of my item?
The actual weight of an item may vary. Weight is used to establish shipping charges.
8. Can engines that have been filled with oil and/or gas be returned?
No, we cannot accept engines for return that have been filled with oil and/or gas.
Products
1. Are all the products you sell new?
No, they are not all new, we sell several types of products and we will list the condition of each item for sale. We sell New, New Scratch & Dent, Used, Factory Serviced and Reconditioned products. New Scratch & Dent products are new but will have minor cosmetic flaws but nothing that will effect the operation, or could be missing the original packaging. Factory Serviced products have been serviced by the original manufacture after being returned for one of a variety of reasons, all of these units will have been ran. Reconditioned products have been used and will show signs of wear but are in good working order.
2. Are the items listed on your website all you carry?
Not everything we have in stock will be listed on our website, please feel free to call if you don't see what you are looking for.
3. What does the manufacturer's warranty cover?
It’s important to note that a manufacturer's warranty is not a guarantee. A guarantee covers something for any reason. A manufacturer’s warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for a certain period of time. If you have a warranty problem, please take the item to the local dealer along with your sales receipt that we sent you. If anything is found to be defective, the factory will cover parts and labor. If no defects are found, the customer will be responsible for covering the costs of the inspection process. The following are common issues not covered by a warranty:
- Low or no oil
- Stale or dirty fuel
- Dirt in the carb
- Broken shaft
- Broken starter rope
Engines
2. Where is my engine's model number?
On Kohler and Kawasaki it will be on a tag on the shroud. On Briggs and Stratton they are always stamped into the metal. On overhead valve engines they are usually stamped onto a valve cover facing up. On flat heads they are stamped into the shroud, usually by the spark plug. On some flat heads and Vanguards they are stamped onto a plate that's pop riveted onto the shroud. On push mower engines they are stamped into a plate above the muffler.
3. Does the engine come with an exhaust/muffler?
Most smaller engines for things like push mowers, pressure washers, and log splitters come with an exhaust. Larger engines for riding mowers and zero turns do not. The exhaust and muffler are made by the manufacturer of the equipment and not the engines themselves. This way they can fit the individual space constraints of each mower. When replacing an engine with a different one than what it originally came with, you would have to contact a dealer of your equipment to see if they have an exhaust that will fit the engine to the mower if you are not able to fabricate one yourself.
4. The model numbers are the same, will this engine replace mine?
Even though the model numbers are the same it may have a different spec/type number. Depending on what it was designed for they may have slight differences. The biggest issue is shaft size. For example, even if the model number is the same, one may use a 1” diameter shaft and one may use a 1-1/8” diameter. There may also be differences in the wiring depending on what charging system it has. Briggs single cylinder Inteks for example are ones who use different alternators on the same model engines. Some may have a 9 amp system for an electric clutch PTO and some may have a dual circuit for manual blade engagement. Another difference could be the fuel pump. Some engines have a duel pump where others do not. If your tank is above the engine yours would be gravity fed. If the tank is below the engine/under the seat, you would require a fuel pump.
5. I have my model number, why are you asking for the size of the crankshaft?
This is mainly because we are not selling the normal replacement engines. We buy many of our engines surplus through Original Equipment Manufacturers. These will be different model numbers than those offered by the engine manufacturers. By matching your engine by description, we can potentially save you quite a bit of money.
